Explorations in Nostalgia (B+A+Select+Start)

Composing music for the project will require some technical and artistic exploration; The game's soundtrack will span many genres and soundscapes in efforts to adhere to a few key aspects of creative direction. It'll be important to set up the proper infrastructure early on so we can focus exclusively on the emotive and ambient aspects of the music later.

One critical piece of the puzzle will be capturing the nostalgic feel of old-school soundtracks. Luckily these days the virtual sampling available online for old PC and console chipsets is robust and relatively inexpensive. I'll be posting clips and observations to document my process as part of content creation both for this website and Fragless Designs' social media catalogue.
